Could the people of South Woodham Ferrers please support
Phoebe's portable tea shop in the car park at the River during
the winter time too.
Phoebe makes lovely cakes and doesn't want to end up throwing
them away. Her and her mother stand in the cold from 8.30 am
until 3.30 waiting for customers. They are thinking of packing
up at 2 during this cold. We were all appreciative of them during
the summer. They still arrange a few tables and chairs to sit on
- in a Christmas theme at the moment. You only need to spend
ten minutes there even sit in your car to eat and drink.
We don't want to lose them do we?

November 2018 saw the culmination of the
centenary commemorations of the First World
War, and what a fitting date to have the
Remembrance Service on. As usual the people
of South Woodham Ferrers excelled themselves
and i can report that the total raised over the 2
weeks leading up to the Remembrance Service
was £25,096.63. This exceeded the collections
taken for the whole of 2017. As always the good will and
generosity of the people of South Woodham Ferrers shone
through. Thanks should also go out to Bob Bell for running the
Poppy Appeal this year and his myriad of helpers.
The Branch can only hope to maintain this level of activity if new
members come forward to help out. So I appeal to those of you
who wish to take a more active part to get in touch, come along
to our next meeting on 7 Feb 19 at 8.00pm to see how you can
get more involved. You don't need to be ex military, just have a
desire to help out.

ElMWOOD CHIlDREN ENTERTAIN
DAY REsPITE CENTRE
Yesterday a whole year group of Elmwood children came along
to Champions Manor Hall to entertain us at our Day Respite
Centre.
A big thankyou goes out to the children, and to the teachers,
TAs and parents who accompanied them.
Our clients really enjoyed hearing the children sing and tell some
cracker jokes!

can come along for a free taster day.
