INAUGURATION OF “ABBIGERE-SHETTIHALLI KARAYOGAM”<br />
THE 41 ST KARAYOGAM OF <strong>KNSS</strong><br />
It was a dream of <strong>KNSS</strong> to have more than 40<br />
Karayogams by the year end .We have achieved this<br />
mile stone with the formation of Abbigere-Shettihalli<br />
Karayogam on 8th <strong>December</strong> <strong>2018</strong>. The most promising<br />
suburb in North West Bangalore had the privilege of<br />
having a Karayogam with 100 new members primarily<br />
drawn from Abbigere and Shettihalli area. The sheer<br />
determination of the sponsoring Karayogam fulfilled<br />
<strong>KNSS</strong> dream to have a Karayogam here enrolling 112<br />
new members in the midst of four giant Karayogams<br />
viz. Peenya, Mathikere, T. Dasarahalli and Jalahalli. A<br />
not-so-distant Yelahanka Karayogam had the privilege<br />
of sponsoring the new Karayogam before the year end.<br />
The inaugural function started at 7pm on 8th <strong>December</strong><br />
at Drishya Auditorium, Shettihalli in a packed house.<br />
The proceedings started with lighting the lamp and<br />
offering floral tribute to Mannath Acharya followed by<br />
a prayer by Ms. Manju, Ms. Sanjana and Ms. Mini of<br />
the new Karayogam and Acharya Vandanam by Smt.<br />
Rugmini Chandrasekhar, Smt. Sugatha Sreekumar,<br />
Smt. Suma Das, Smt. Radhika Sunil and Smt. Shobha<br />
Ajay. Shri M B Gopidas, Secretary, Yelahanka<br />
Karayogam welcomed all the dignitaries, members<br />
from other Karayogams and Karayogam members.<br />
Shri M P Krishna Kumar, Vice President, Yelahanka<br />
Karayogam presided over the meeting.<br />
Inauguration and Oath taking :-Abbigere-Shettihalli<br />
Karayogam was formally inaugurated by Shri<br />
Ramachandran Paleri, Chairman, <strong>KNSS</strong>, in the<br />
august presence of Shri R Manohara Kurup, General<br />
Secretary, <strong>KNSS</strong>, and other <strong>KNSS</strong> Office Bearers,<br />
Mahila Vibhag Convener and Youth Wing Convener.<br />
Shri Ramachandran Paleri administered the oath<br />
to the Adhoc Committee members of Abbigere –<br />
Shettihalli Karayogam and installed the new Executive<br />
Committee.<br />
Later, Shri R Manohara Kurup, General Secretary<br />
handed over the <strong>KNSS</strong> Flag, Byelaw and Registration<br />
Certificate to Shri Sasikumar Pillai, Karayogam<br />
Secretary. Shri P S Nair, Treasurer handed over the<br />
Karayogam share of membership and membership<br />
forms to Shri S P Biju, Karayogam Treasurer. In<br />
his speech, Shri Ramachandran Paleri stressed upon<br />
the need for uniting all in the community so that the<br />
primary position of our Society in Karnataka can be<br />

maintained. He also emphasized on the new projects<br />
which includes the expansion of MMET School with<br />
the acquisition of land adjacent to the existing school<br />
and new CBSE School and a Medical facility at<br />
Thoranahalli Nair Gramam.<br />
Shri. R Manohara Kurup in his speech also elaborated<br />
about the upcoming projects of <strong>KNSS</strong> and exhorted<br />
all members to support the new ventures embarked<br />
upon by <strong>KNSS</strong>.<br />
E.C.and Office bearers:- A committee consisting of<br />
18 members was formed- Shri T Raghunathan Pillai<br />
as President, Shri Sasikumar Pillai as Secretary,<br />
Shri Biju S. P as Treasurer, Shri Biju P Nair as Vice<br />
President, Shri Rajeev Kumar B as Joint Secretary, Shri<br />
Rajasekharan Nair as Jt Treasurer, Shri C R Sreekumar<br />
and Shri Gireesh Kumar B L as Board Directors.<br />
Representatives of various Karayogams, Mahila<br />
Vibhags, Benevolent Fund, Samskarika Vedi, MMET<br />
etc. extended their whole hearted support and wished<br />
the new Karayogam all success.<br />
Mahila Vibhag and Youth wing:-Karayogam could<br />
inaugurate the Mahila Vibhag christened “Soubhagya”<br />
and Youth Wing “Advaya” on the same day of<br />
Karayogam inauguration (8/12/18).<br />
Shri. T Raghunatha Pillai, President of the new<br />
Karayogam addressed the gathering and thanked all<br />
<strong>KNSS</strong> Office Bearers, Office Bearers of Yelahanka<br />
Karayogam and those who helped in the formation of<br />
the Karayogam and also who attended the functions.<br />
He also made an appeal to all the members of the<br />
Karayogam to join together and make the Karayogam<br />
a role model in <strong>KNSS</strong>.<br />
Shri Sasikumar Pillai, Secretary extended vote of<br />
thanks.<br />
A colourful dance presentation and songs by <strong>KNSS</strong><br />
members added glitter to the evening which was<br />
supplemented by a sumptuous dinner.<br />
