INAUGURATION OF “ABBIGERE-SHETTIHALLI KARAYOGAM”
THE 41 ST KARAYOGAM OF KNSS
It was a dream of KNSS to have more than 40
Karayogams by the year end .We have achieved this
mile stone with the formation of Abbigere-Shettihalli
Karayogam on 8th December 2018. The most promising
suburb in North West Bangalore had the privilege of
having a Karayogam with 100 new members primarily
drawn from Abbigere and Shettihalli area. The sheer
determination of the sponsoring Karayogam fulfilled
KNSS dream to have a Karayogam here enrolling 112
new members in the midst of four giant Karayogams
viz. Peenya, Mathikere, T. Dasarahalli and Jalahalli. A
not-so-distant Yelahanka Karayogam had the privilege
of sponsoring the new Karayogam before the year end.
The inaugural function started at 7pm on 8th December
at Drishya Auditorium, Shettihalli in a packed house.
The proceedings started with lighting the lamp and
offering floral tribute to Mannath Acharya followed by
a prayer by Ms. Manju, Ms. Sanjana and Ms. Mini of
the new Karayogam and Acharya Vandanam by Smt.
Rugmini Chandrasekhar, Smt. Sugatha Sreekumar,
Smt. Suma Das, Smt. Radhika Sunil and Smt. Shobha
Ajay. Shri M B Gopidas, Secretary, Yelahanka
Karayogam welcomed all the dignitaries, members
from other Karayogams and Karayogam members.
Shri M P Krishna Kumar, Vice President, Yelahanka
Karayogam presided over the meeting.
Inauguration and Oath taking :-Abbigere-Shettihalli
Karayogam was formally inaugurated by Shri
Ramachandran Paleri, Chairman, KNSS, in the
august presence of Shri R Manohara Kurup, General
Secretary, KNSS, and other KNSS Office Bearers,
Mahila Vibhag Convener and Youth Wing Convener.
Shri Ramachandran Paleri administered the oath
to the Adhoc Committee members of Abbigere –
Shettihalli Karayogam and installed the new Executive
Committee.
Later, Shri R Manohara Kurup, General Secretary
handed over the KNSS Flag, Byelaw and Registration
Certificate to Shri Sasikumar Pillai, Karayogam
Secretary. Shri P S Nair, Treasurer handed over the
Karayogam share of membership and membership
forms to Shri S P Biju, Karayogam Treasurer. In
his speech, Shri Ramachandran Paleri stressed upon
the need for uniting all in the community so that the
primary position of our Society in Karnataka can be

maintained. He also emphasized on the new projects
which includes the expansion of MMET School with
the acquisition of land adjacent to the existing school
and new CBSE School and a Medical facility at
Thoranahalli Nair Gramam.
Shri. R Manohara Kurup in his speech also elaborated
about the upcoming projects of KNSS and exhorted
all members to support the new ventures embarked
upon by KNSS.
E.C.and Office bearers:- A committee consisting of
18 members was formed- Shri T Raghunathan Pillai
as President, Shri Sasikumar Pillai as Secretary,
Shri Biju S. P as Treasurer, Shri Biju P Nair as Vice
President, Shri Rajeev Kumar B as Joint Secretary, Shri
Rajasekharan Nair as Jt Treasurer, Shri C R Sreekumar
and Shri Gireesh Kumar B L as Board Directors.
Representatives of various Karayogams, Mahila
Vibhags, Benevolent Fund, Samskarika Vedi, MMET
etc. extended their whole hearted support and wished
the new Karayogam all success.
Mahila Vibhag and Youth wing:-Karayogam could
inaugurate the Mahila Vibhag christened “Soubhagya”
and Youth Wing “Advaya” on the same day of
Karayogam inauguration (8/12/18).
Shri. T Raghunatha Pillai, President of the new
Karayogam addressed the gathering and thanked all
KNSS Office Bearers, Office Bearers of Yelahanka
Karayogam and those who helped in the formation of
the Karayogam and also who attended the functions.
He also made an appeal to all the members of the
Karayogam to join together and make the Karayogam
a role model in KNSS.
Shri Sasikumar Pillai, Secretary extended vote of
thanks.
A colourful dance presentation and songs by KNSS
members added glitter to the evening which was
supplemented by a sumptuous dinner.
