focus on the commercial and private
banking business that has historically been the
specialty of LNB, future expansion will be
driven by an effort to provide financial services
to the traditionally underserved Mexican-

LNB is a corporation organized under
the laws of Texas in 1980, with its principal
place of business in Laredo. Carlos Hank Rhon
became a shareholder in 1990, assuming chairmanship
of the holding company in 1991.
LNB is the fourth largest independent bank
in the state of Texas. It has 20 banking
offices—five in Laredo, seven in San Antonio,
five in Houston, two in Corpus Christi, and
one in McAllen.
South Texas National Bank was acquired
in 1992. Historically, STNB has provided
banking services primarily to small and medium-sized
businesses and to low-to-medium
income households. It has branches in Laredo
and Eagle Pass.
