Birded Uşak Carpet<br />
It is an example of the white floors of Uşak carpets. On its<br />
floor there is a leaf motif facing each other. Leaf motifs<br />
are similar to the bird because of the mutual. Bird motifs<br />
used in Turkish carpets have various meanings. Owl and<br />
crow represent the bad luck, the dove, pigeon and bulbul<br />
represent the good luck. Bird; is a symbol of happiness, joy<br />
and love. It also symbolizes power and strength. It is an<br />
imperial symbol of various settlements in Central Anatolia.<br />
Birds also refer to divine messages and long life.<br />
Uşak carpet with stars<br />
The star motif expresses fertility in Turkish carpets. It<br />
includes meanings such as birth, peace in life and the<br />
renewal of the universe. Palmet and Rumis are seen in the<br />
versions of eight-pointed stars in Uşak carpets. Geometric<br />
flowers, short branches and hook motifs are seen in the<br />
empty spaces of its floor.<br />
Lotto Uşak carpet<br />
The large main border is stylized in light and dark red on<br />
blue background, swastika and rosette motifs. The main<br />
floor is divided into 10 transverse 5 and longitudinal 11<br />
squares in red. They are filled with double rumi motifs<br />
and octagons that are stylized in yellow. In the whole<br />
composition based on an infinity, there is a cross shaped<br />
pattern at the junctions of the squares.<br />
Sprinkle Uşak carpet<br />
In the sprinkle Uşak carpet model depicts the plants in<br />
the region. Positive emotions, thoughts and fertile soil<br />
expressing herbal figures given place. The carpet model<br />
houses different leaves and flowers. For example, there is a<br />
dagger leaf motif in the shape of a sickle, which is unique to<br />
the Uşak region.<br />
Cloudy Uşak carpet<br />
The cloudy model is also called Central Asian or Chinese<br />
cloud as well. Since the symmetrical shapes on the ground<br />
are likened to the cloud shape, the repeated use of clouds<br />
describes the continuity of life.<br />
Göbekli Uşak carpet<br />

Easy to use, lightweight prayer rugs<br />
There is also a separate room where miniature models are<br />
called prayer rugs in Uşak Carpet Kilim House. These prayer<br />
rugs are again adorned with models that are the basis of<br />

Çintemani Uşak carpet<br />
We can say that the composition of the Çintemani model<br />

in various sultan’s garments and items (talismanic shirts,<br />
kaftans, fabrics, carpets and tiles). The blue, yellow and red<br />
floors of the Çintemani carpet were made.<br />
Holbein Uşak carpet<br />
100% wool (weft, warp and loop rope) was used.<br />
Turkish knot was used. Hand rope or worsted rope was used.<br />
Root and chemical dyes were used.<br />
There are 89,600 nodes in square meters.<br />
Uşak carpet is at the White House<br />
The President of the United States, George Washington,<br />
used the Uşak carpet in the paintings he let it to be made<br />
while the White House was first built in the late 1700s.<br />
Uşak carpets are used as wall ornament in the palaces of<br />
England. Also noteworthy is the fact that the important<br />
agreements made between countries are on the paintings<br />
in the Uşak City History Museum where the Uşak carpet is<br />
laid.<br />
At that time, managers in Europe used the carpet as a<br />
representation of prestige and wealth, and it was a luxury<br />
object owned only by high-level people. Artists such as<br />
famous painters Lorenzo Lotto and Hans Holbein also<br />
hosted the Uşak carpets in their famous paintings. Lotto, a<br />
world-famous carpet model dating back to the 1400s, took<br />
its name after located in Lorenzo Lotto’s painting at all.
