Where it intersects the upper arc of the circle locates the highest corner of the background
pentagon. The corner to the left of the highest corner is at the ear of the reclining
pharaoh. The corner to the right of the highest corner is at the horizontal diameter and
points at the genital of the standing pharaoh. The lowest corner of the background
pentagon is located at the ankles of the standing Maat. Schwaller labels three special
angles related to Ptah-Asar and his scepters. Another important vertical meridian (d) is
defined by the backs of the reclining pharaoh's fingers and the back of the base on which
Ptah-Asar stands. Schwaller assigns the value R = 1 to the distance from the center of
the circle to the sole of the foot of Ptah-Asar on the top surface of the Maat wedge. As a
result φ/2 becomes the distance from the center of the circle to the top of the head of
Ptah-Asar. The rectangle formed within lines a, b, d, and e has a diagonal with angle α =
34° 32'. The interval ab is half the side of the pentagon. The interval de is half the
circle's radius. Add the diagonal of the rectangle a, b, d, e to interval ab to make ac.
The triangle with base de and height ac (taking ac as 3) has a hypotenuse marked by the
edge of the "was" scepter in the right hand of Ptah-Asar with the length of pi = 3.14159.
The acute angle of that triangle is marked by Schwaller as β. Extending that hypotenuse
down to the baseline and up to the 2.5 meter mark makes it 2.618 (or φ²) meters, equal to
the vertical line from the baseline to the top of Heaven and equal to 5 royal cubits. The
angle γ is formed by the conjunction of the line through the left-hand "was" with the
vertical axis through the standing Maat at the high point of the background pentagon.
The triangle formed by the left-hand "was" and the vertical axis of Maat is 1, (2√2), 3.
The height of Ptah gives the height of the pentagon. The height of Maat gives the radius
of the circle. The pentagon suggests the five-pointed star that is the gateway to the secret
teaching of Amen.
We can put a Senet Board in the lower left-hand corner and we can put one resting on the
Maat platform under Ptah-Asar's right elbow between the snake's upright body and Ptah-
