• Provide an extended opportunity for the <strong>Trailblazer</strong> <strong>Cultural</strong> Champions to connect,<br />
learn and collaborate<br />
• Enable the development and prioritisation of shared objectives and priorities<br />
• Ensure effective engagement with the range of available resources to optimise<br />
• <strong>Trailblazer</strong> opportunity for each school<br />
• Provide focused Continuous Professional Development in leadership skills, including:<br />
• Exploring the processes and challenges of change management<br />
• Enhancing the potential for effectively managing change<br />
• Increasing skills and confidence to lead a school initiative<br />
• Focusing on reflective practice and discussion on progress<br />
• Overview of planning and evaluation in the leadership context<br />
Leadership Development Training is a sequential course, run by the <strong>Trailblazer</strong> Programme over<br />
five sessions at High House Production Park, developing themes with leading strategic advisor<br />
Katherine Zeserson. All <strong>Cultural</strong> Champions and their Deputies are required to attend these<br />
sessions; taking part in the <strong>Cultural</strong> Champion Community is paramount to the success of your<br />
school’s <strong>Trailblazer</strong> journey. As well as offering leadership training and guidance for measuring the<br />
impact of your <strong>Trailblazer</strong> activities, you will share practice, resources and learning with <strong>Cultural</strong><br />
Champions from other schools.<br />

• To understand your <strong>Trailblazer</strong> programme potential and to focus your outcomes<br />
• To frame your evaluation in your school context<br />

• To explore the Arts as a vehicle to cross curricular learning and school development<br />
• To increase leadership skills and confidence<br />
• To better understand planning and evaluation as a leader<br />
• To enhance your potential for leading change<br />
• To develop approaches to collaboration<br />

2. Your leadership: what do you have and what do you need?<br />
