participating on conference committees and as the branch senior word processor.<br />
Jean resigned this year after over fifteen years on the Guelph Barrier Free Committee at City<br />
Hall, about ten as chair. Barrier Free informs our community about issues that people with<br />
disabilities face. One of her major goals is to document life in several ways. Photography and<br />
scrapbooking are two, followed by Personal Poetry. She writes stories in poem form to capture<br />
people’s celebrations, events and special occasions. Jean has acted and her poetry has been<br />
included. Jean was an active member of Action Nutrition in the first few years as a GWSA<br />
member. She is in her second term on the Board, a member of Membership & Marketing, Board<br />
rep for the Travel Committee and The Sentinel, and has been President of the INTO FOCUS<br />
Photography Club since 2006. She believes that teamwork makes the “Dream” work. Her email<br />

Adam Rutherford is the City of Guelph's Program Manager of Programming and Community<br />
Development. For more than 20 years, Adam has been working with, advocating for, and<br />
developing programs in partnership with community members of all ages. Adam’s work has<br />
focused on engagement, innovative program development, and the needs of marginalized and<br />
underserved populations. Middle-aged skateboarder, lover of film and music, big thinker that<br />

Roger Stevens is a volunteer for the CSS Outreach program, along with his wife Kathy, at<br />
Riverside Glen. He is also a member of the Canoe Club and 100 Men Guelph. Roger was elected<br />
to the Board in May 20<strong>19</strong>. His email address is roger.stevens@gwsa-guelph.ca.<br />
Mike Woof came to Guelph in <strong>19</strong>75 with a 33-year background in engineering which included<br />
Product Design and Project Management along with Product training and Marketing. He has<br />
been a member of the GWSA for 13 years but was only able to get more involved a few years<br />
ago after retirement, working on the annual Variety Show. You have probably seen him working<br />
on our new sound system console which he designed and built. Mike was elected to the Board in<br />

Tonie Sacchetti is the current Recreation Program Co-ordinator for Seniors Services with the<br />
City of Guelph. She has worked in various roles within the Corporation of the City of Guelph<br />
over the past seven years, but recently, all of her attention has been put into developing new and<br />
exciting recreational programs for the senior community. Most recently, Tonie was appointed cosecretary<br />
for the GWSA and looks forward to working alongside all GWSA members to support<br />

Samantha Ferrier is the current Volunteer Co-ordinator - Recreational Services for the City of<br />
Guelph. She is the lead for the screening and interviewing of all new volunteers that work at the<br />
Evergreen Seniors Community Centre. She is a liaison for the GWSA volunteers who are<br />
interviewed by the Community Support Services of the GWSA. Samantha is a co-secretary for<br />
the GWSA Board and looks forward to building relationships with the <strong>New</strong> Board and the<br />
