Championships were back and bigger than
ever at Croke Park. Salon teams from all
over Ireland arrived ready to compete in 16
different categories, with the total number of
entries exceeding 250. Competitors took to
the floor to battle it out, show their prowess
and prove to the judges that they deserved
one of the trophies on offer. There was also
the opportunity to learn from industry experts
including David Murray, Joanne O’Neill and
John Keegan, who were showing off their skills
at the IHF Education Pod. After a catwalk
showcase of the competitors’ finished work,
2018’s IHF Hairdresser of the Year, Ciaran Dowd
of Occasions Hairdressing, presented his hair
show, Wasted, created under the direction of
Sarah Mason of Sarah Mason Professional.
The event came to a close with announcement
of the IHF Hairdresser of the Year…
Sarah Mason, Ciaran Dowd and
House of Colour’s David Campbell
