BFSI continued to be the sector having a significant
stronghold in the number of offers made in the area
of Sales & Marketing. More than 55% of the total job
offers were from this sector.
IT/Analytics & Consulting were also the major
contributors to this year’s placement season
contributing close to 15% of the total job offers.
This year also saw a spur in the demand for jobs in
eLearning (online education) sector.
FMCG & Retail were not far behind, with a strong
turnout of companies offering a few niche profiles.

Travel, Pharma & Healthcare, e-Commerce, Market
Research, Logistics & Real Estate industry.
Another positive trend was the increase in the number
of job offers in core Finance & HR Profiles.
The final placements season for the class of 2019 was
remarkable as we saw close to 97% of our eligible
students being placed in a diverse mix of companies
spread across various domains and functions, offering
niche roles. With a batch size of 580 students in the
class of 2020, we are sure that IBS Bangalore would
remain the first choice for recruiters in the ensuing
cycle as well.
