Peregrine Winery.
7. Peregrine Winery
In Gibbston Valley, you will find a winery
building by Architecture Workshop that
has a large curving roof inspired by the
wing of a peregrine bird. It’s dramatic and
elegantly simple at the same time.
Larnach Castle, Otago Peninsula.
8. Invercargill Water Tower
Architecturally, Invercargill doesn’t have
much to shout about. But I do love the
idea that you can drive straight onto the
beach and also see this water tower by
William Sharp – a key landmark in the
town.
9. Larnach Castle
Out on the Otago Peninsula you will find
the well-known castle built by wealthy
banker William Larnach, styled on castles in
Scotland. It is certainly worth the winding
road out.
Invercargill Water Tower.
