the Retail NZ Awards at Auckland’s<br />

SkyCity Convention Centre recently.<br />

Next time you’re in need of some<br />

local stars that shone brightest.<br />

New Zealand’s best Customer<br />

Experience (Small Retailer) was judged<br />

to be The Christmas Hut at Papanui<br />

in Christchurch, while Forme Spa &<br />

Wellbeing took out both the Customer<br />

Experience Award (Large Retailer) and<br />

Supreme Award for its flagship location<br />

in Parnell, hot on the heels of the<br />

nationwide spa group’s success<br />

in the World Luxury Spa Awards. On<br />

your next trip to Nelson, make sure<br />

your shopping list includes Customer<br />

Experience Award Runner Up Eyebright<br />

Country Store in Richmond and Pic’s<br />

Peanut Butter World at Stoke (Highly<br />

Commended).<br />

It was a clean sweep for the South<br />

Island in the People’s Choice category<br />

– the only award judged by public vote.<br />

Queenstown’s NZ Direct health and<br />

beauty store was the winner, with online<br />

gift guru Not Socks, which operates<br />

from Casebrook in Christchurch, Runner<br />

Up and another online success Craze<br />

Fashion, which also operates a Kaiapoi<br />

retail store stocking designer brands<br />

from New Zealand, Australia and<br />

America, awarded Highly Commended.<br />

The mainland also scored plaudits in<br />

the Innovation category with Untouched<br />

World taking out Highly Commended<br />

and Vines Village Café in Blenheim<br />

judged Runner Up. And, if you’re in the<br />

market for a new hairdresser that’s a cut<br />

above, H&B – Hair Art & Beauty of<br />

St Albans in Christchurch took home<br />

the award for Investment in People.<br />
