SO CHEEKY
Been chained to the desk too long to
share the naturally sun-kissed look of
winter escapees? Spring is here and with
it comes a good excuse to add colour
the sun-smart way – with a bit of a blush
going on. Warm peach is a surprisingly
usable option and can lend to a romantic,
soft look, especially when paired with
similarly toned lippie, or go bold with hot
pinks to be more playful and frivolous,
matching that frilly fashion in stores.
Warm colours on the apples of your
cheeks will turn up the heat, while
bronzer should remain restricted to the
top of your nose and across the cheeks.

SAY IT WITH RED
Red lippie just doesn’t get old. However, how
it’s applied does. Whether you call it ‘diffused’
or ‘just kissed’, using a brush to apply your
colour or leaning on those lippies with a matte
finish, will mean it’s all a little more blurred
between the lines – exactly as it should be. It’s
all about the imperfect finish currently, which is
terribly convenient. I certainly wouldn’t take it
to the extreme to get the so-called ‘snogging’
effect this look has evolved into, but leaning
more towards a lip stain can be a nice change.
Then, there are the shades. The brick tone
is in, but as 2019 was decreed the year for
coral, if you follow what Pantone says (Living
Coral being its Colour of the Year), a hint of
pinky-orange is truly encouraged. Whatever
you do, with lips like these, you should count
on them doing all the talking.
