TWO ITALIAN ICONS JOIN
TOGETHER TO CREATE THE
FIAT PANDA TRUSSARDI
FIAT has partnered with the
well-known Italian Fashion
house to create the stylish
‘Panda Trussardi’. This limited
edition brings together two
brands that have made history
in their respective industries,
showcasing the best of Italy.
Fiat Centro Stile and Trussardi
designers collaborated on the design
and accessories to reflect the
personality of Panda and the Italian
fashion house. The Trussardi
Greyhound symbol can be seen
on the rear quarter light, in the
centre of the alloy wheels and on
the side mouldings while other
exclusive style details, including
the black roof bars, mirror caps,
15-inch alloy wheels and the skid
plate further set this model apart.
The model sports a striking Caffè
Italiano Brown colour, with either
a matt or metallic finish, as well
as being available in a choice of
other colours.
Inside, Trussardi lettering embellishes
the exclusive mats, seat
belts, door panel inserts as well as
the logo appearing on the seat upholstery.
The black techno-leather
seat inserts are embellished with
brown stitching while the dashboard
also sports a new Caffè Italiano
Brown finish. The Trussardi
logo takes pride of place in the
centre of the steering wheel, the
first time in the history of Panda
that this has ever happened
The Panda Trussardi is available
with a 69hp 1.2-litre petrol
engine and 5-speed manual gearbox.
The Panda Trussardi also
offers City Brake Control as an
option. The City Brake system
detects obstacles in front of the
car and automatically applies the
brakes if the driver does not respond
when the vehicle is travelling
under 18mph.
“Panda can boast 39 years of
success and has been the most
popular car in Italy for six years.
It has been the best-selling city
car in Europe since 2003. 7.5 million
units have been sold, of which
five million are still on the road,”
said Olivier François, president
of Fiat brand. “It is also a recordbreaker.
It was the first 4WD city
car, the first small car to fit an
automatic transmission, the first
urban SUV and the first car to
climb Mount Everest. Today, we
have the first ‘luxury Panda’, the
Panda Trussardi”.
“Trussardi was the first Italian
brand to take fashion to the general
public by organising fashion
shows in city squares and in locations
close to the people”, commented
Tomaso Trussardi, CEO of
Trussardi. “We have always created
products with a unique design
and our brand vision is inclusive
and multifaceted. Today, Fiat
Panda is wearing the Trussardi
style and turning itself into a contemporary
and functional car with
great attention to detail. I am very
satisfied with this collaboration
and thank the Fiat team for having
believed in this project with
us”, he added.
Panda Trussardi features in
the music video of Ava Max’s new
single “Torn”, in the video, the
protagonist played by singer Ava
Max steals the Trussardi-branded
seat belt.
REAL SUPERCARS ROAR INTO
LIFE IN INNOVATIVE NEW BOOK
UNIQUE new title allows
car fans of all
ages to ‘rev up’ authentic
and exotic
engines!
British publishing
history is made today
with the launch of The
Sound Of Supercars, a
new book incorporating
crystal-clear audio
clips of 12 of the
world’s fastest, most
exciting and most exclusive
cars.
The beautifully-produced
book, priced at
£12.99, contains stunning
images and fascinating
key facts on a
dozen supercars from
world-famous marques
such as Lamborghini,
Ferrari, Aston Martin,
Porsche and McLaren.
At the same time as
discovering about each
of the cars, readers can
press a corresponding
‘starter button’ on an
integral sound menu,
and enjoy a high-quality
audio clip as it’s
driven at high speed.
“All our recordings
correspond precisely to
the cars we illustrate”,
said author Andrea
Pinnington who, with
art director partner Caz
Buckingham founded
Cobalt Fortress to publish
the book. “You really
can ‘road test’ the
cars, bringing them to
life and revelling in the
sound of each engine.”
It’s a first in print
publishing, but continues
a highly successful
line in wildlife sound
books established by
sister imprint Fine
The Sound Of Supercars is published by Cobalt
Fortress at £12.99 (ISBN: 978-1-908489)
and is available from 15th October 2019
from bookshops and online retailers. It has a
dedicated website at www.cobaltfortress.co.uk.
Feather Press.
Several months in
painstaking development,
Pinnington
and Buckingham designed
The Sound Of
Supercars to include
a spectrum of highperformance
vehicles
with highly distinctive
engines for maximum
breadth of sound.
They range from the
twin-cylinder Morgan
3-Wheeler to the 16-cylinder
Bugatti Chiron,
and include the powerful
electronic whirr of a
Tesla Model S and the
classic growl of an Aston
Martin DB6.
Readers can contrast
the howling V10 engine
in the Lamborghini
Huracan featured on
the cover against the
all-American V8 burble
in the Chevrolet Corvette
and the epic bark
of the V12 powering the
Ferrari LaFerrari.
“Children will love
the unique interactive
connection that The
Sound Of Supercars
gives to its subject, but
we have a feeling there
will be quite a few
grown-up enthusiasts
who find it irresistible
too,” Pinnington added.
