Pensioner abuses cleaner<br />

block of flats where he<br />
lives in Valencia’s Maratim<br />

The victim was carrying<br />
out her work and went to the<br />
suspect’s apartment to get<br />
clean water, something she<br />
had done regularly in the<br />
past.<br />
However on this occasion<br />
it is alleged that the man<br />
grabbed her from behind and<br />
started groping her breasts<br />

she finally managed to get<br />
away from him and open it<br />
to escape.<br />
She then ran to a friends<br />
house, who called the police<br />
after hearing her account of<br />
the matter.<br />
Double abuser detained<br />

A 42 year old man has been<br />
arrested in Valencia by the<br />
National Police accused of<br />
sexually abusing two girls,<br />
both aged nine.<br />
The victims are his own<br />
daughter and the granddaughter<br />
of his partner, all of<br />
who lived at the same address.<br />
It is alleged that he carried<br />
out the abuse when he was<br />
alone with the girls, threatening<br />
them with punishment if<br />
they told anyone.<br />
The suspect, who has no previous<br />
police record, has been<br />
kept in detention awaiting<br />
charges.<br />
Child traffickers arrested<br />
THREE people have been<br />
arrested in <strong>Alicante</strong> and<br />
two in Valencia as part of<br />
a nationwide operation<br />
against a major criminal<br />
gang whose alleged crimes<br />
included the abduction of<br />
minors.<br />
29 people in all have been<br />
arrested to date, three in<br />
France 11 in Almeria and<br />
the rest in Murcia, Tarragona,<br />
Barcelona and Murcia<br />
as well as those in the Valencian<br />
Community. They were<br />
by Simon Russell<br />
using buses and trucks to<br />
abduct foreign minors from<br />
detention centres and taking<br />
them to Belgium and France<br />
via Almeria port.<br />
Those arrested are believed<br />
to be from Mali, Algeria,<br />
Morocco and Syria and<br />
the children trafficked were<br />
also from these countries.<br />
As well as the children,<br />
they used the transportation<br />
to smuggle hashish, tobacco<br />
and even endangered<br />
animals, all hidden away<br />
in specially adapted cargo<br />
holds.<br />
A vehicle was stopped<br />
recently by French police<br />
and found to have 22 illegal<br />
immigrants, 6 children,<br />
33,000 euros in cash, 200<br />
kilos of hashish and various<br />
documentation.<br />
Their Spanish counterparts<br />
were then informed,<br />
leading to the arrests<br />
last weekend.<br />
