DAY 1<br />
ARRIVAL LUGANO –<br />
GUIDED FOOD AND WINE TOUR<br />
Transfer by rail to Lugano, where you<br />
will be based for 2 nights in the 3*<br />
Continental Parkhotel. Situated amidst<br />
large gardens with vineyards, it is only a<br />
10 minutes’ walk away from the centre<br />
and the lakeside. In the afternoon<br />
you will enjoy a private guided tour<br />
of the historic centre, where you taste<br />
a variety of specialities from Ticino,<br />
including the delicious white Merlot<br />
Wine. Learn of the many curiosities<br />
of the characterful inns, bars and<br />
restaurants along your way and relish<br />
your dinner including local wine, liquor<br />

DAY 2<br />
MONTE GENEROSO<br />
Situated at the southern end of<br />
Lake Lugano, Monte Generoso is<br />
without doubt one of the best<br />
mountains for views in the canton<br />
of Ticino. Travel by train to Capolago –<br />
Riva S. Vitale, from where you take<br />
the Monte Generoso cog railway<br />
which is about 9 km long and runs<br />
along a magical stretch of mountain<br />
scenery. On top, the restaurant<br />
“Fiore di Pietra” (stone flower),<br />
created by the famous architect<br />
Mario Botta, awaits you with its<br />
picture windows that frame the<br />
breathtaking panorama.<br />
DAY 3<br />
LAKE CRUISE AND DEPARTURE<br />
Gandria, the cosy little border town<br />
lies at the foot of Monte Brè, on the<br />
shores of Lake Lugano. Enjoy a short<br />
but relaxing boat ride, stroll through<br />
the village with its very nostalgic<br />
atmosphere before you head back<br />
to Lugano. Rail transfer to airport or<br />
continue your Swiss stay.<br />
