DAY 1<br />
ARRIVAL SWITZERLAND<br />
Travel to Basel. Your hotel is located<br />
directly opposite the station. You will<br />
be welcomed with a glass of organic<br />
wine from the region.<br />
DAY 2<br />
GOTTHARD PANORAMA EXPRESS<br />
– LOCARNO<br />
Train to Lucerne. Photo stop and<br />
some leisure time in Lucerne.<br />
Paddle Steamer to Flüelen. Panoramic<br />
Train to Bellinzona and on to, Locarno.<br />
DAY 3<br />
FOOD & WINE TOUR BELLINZONA<br />
We will meet our guide in Bellinzona,<br />
who will take us on a tour of delis<br />
and restaurants where we will get<br />
the chance to try local delicacies and<br />
wines. After the tour, time for leisure<br />
before returning to Locarno.<br />
DAY 4<br />
FARM, VINEYARDS AND RICE<br />
FIELDS VISIT – ASCONA<br />
Coach ride to Ascona, where we<br />
will visit an “azienda” where they<br />
produce wine, polenta and rice. Wine<br />
& local cheese tasting followed by a<br />
traditional “risottata ticinese”. Time at<br />
leisure in Ascona before heading back<br />
to Locarno by coach.<br />
DAY 5<br />
CENTOVALLI EXPRESS – LAUSANNE<br />
Train to Locarno. From here Centovalli<br />
Express to Domodossola and on<br />
to Sierre, to Chateau de Villa. Wine<br />
tasting & 3-course raclette lunch. After<br />
lunch, train to Lausanne. Leisure time<br />
in the evening.<br />
DAY 6<br />
WINE TASTING IN LAVAUX<br />
Train from Lausanne to Chexbres-<br />
Village via Vevey. We will visit Domaine<br />
Bovy, with cellars dating from the 16th<br />
century. Wine tasting & Local bread,<br />
cheese and cold cuts. Train and boat<br />
ride back to Lausanne.<br />
DAY 7<br />
LAUSANNE<br />
Today we will visit the “Fête des<br />
Vendanges” (Grape Harvest Festival)<br />
in Lutry, the town has strong wineproducing<br />
roots. Wine enthusiasts can<br />
enjoy sampling Chasselas, Pinot Noir,<br />
Gamay and other grape varieties. Train<br />
back to Lausanne. Time at leisure.<br />
DAY 8<br />
DEPARTURE<br />
Breakfast at the hotel before returning<br />
back home.<br />
