KIND OF BLUE LOOKS FORWARD
TO NEXT YEAR
"Kind of Blue", a local modern jazz group, is looking forward to
new challenges:
We really appreciate those of you who have been supporting us in
the dark Monday evenings this year (attendances have risen
considerably), but listening to many of you who came to them, and
to the audience of the"jazz on a summer's day" concert, we are
going to change our "gigs" to Sunday afternoons 2-4.30, thus
making it easier to go home at a reasonable hour.
(Because of space, comfort and acoustic reasons we will be holding
these performances in the hall of the Bell, Woodham Ferrers).
Therefore we will be in the pub on the Sunday afternoons of 26th
January, 1st March and 29th March 2020.
Please put these in your diary.
Hopefully this experiment will work, and we will be able to extend
these times into the spring and summer months.
It will be dependent on the size of the audiences!!
Entry and sandwiches will be free.
If you cannot wait until then, we still have the end of 2019 to enjoy.
On Monday 25th November, our normal free "gig" will be in the
Bell, 8.30-11pm.
On Sunday afternoon 15th December, begin your Christmas
celebrations with our charity concert in the hall of the Bell.
For the princely sum of £5 (proceeds to Breast Cancer and Crohn's
Disease), you can take part in a concert of 2 halves:
Jazz (with some festive references, such as the Modern Jazz
Quartet's iconic arrangement of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen")
Followed by an interval with a buffet and mulled wine.
The second part will include a "Christmas" singalong.

the Bell 01245 320443. Hurry, they are going like hot mince pies).
Therefore, there is plenty to look forward to in the ensuing wintry
months.
Forget the dark evenings, and enter a world of bright entertainment
in Woodham Ferrers.
