HOLMES HOTEL
MARYLEBONE, LONDON
I am a lover of many styles and genres, but prior to my visit to
the Holmes Hotel in London, you many well have found that I
would turn my nose up at the thought of a themed hotel. But
this delightful retreat, just steps away from Baker Street station,
has entirely changed my mind.
Indeed, it’s no mystery why this hotel is proving popular with
a myriad of guests - from those looking to delight in the many
nods to this eponymous deceptive to others just looking for a
stylish city bolt-hole.
Travellers of both the seasoned and novice variety will uncover
countless little luxuries waiting for them in the bedrooms. From
cosy hideaways for two to luxurious duplex Loft suites, the
rooms at Holmes Hotel perfectly straddle classic architecture
and plush, modern interiors. Rooms feel like luxurious
sanctuaries away from the bustle of the Marylebone high street
and Baker Street station - only steps away. It's tempting not
to leave, especially with so many amenities, like the fabulous
nineteenth-century style gym, in the building.
Should you decide to dine in, the Kitchen at Holmes offers a
warm, buzzing atmosphere and delicious seasonally-inspired
cuisine with inspirations from all over the world. Led by Head
Chef Stefano Motta, this sought after all-day dining destination
epitomises an exciting blend of cultures that is unique to
London. We loved the mezze small plates - perfect for sharing.
The standout star dish was lighter-than-light ravioli, lavished in
butter, garlic and rich heady slices of black truffle.
Whether you are a curious mind with a penchant for intrigue or
a world-weary traveller in need of somewhere sumptuous to rest
your head, your perfect room mystery is solved...
