The pillars are particularly slender compared to contemporary
building systems, and flex slightly when touched by guests. They
vary in distance from each other at intervals of 33, 45 or 66 cm,
discreetly matching the distance that guests wish to have from each
other. It is an indirect way to get closer to others that reproduces
a sort of mental distance, an intangible threshold that allows the
guests to choose an appropriate relationship with other guests.
Les poteaux sont particulièrement minces par rapport aux systèmes
de construction contemporains et sont légèrement mouvants au
passage des invités. Les intervalles varient entre 33, 45 ou 66
cm, ce qui correspond à la distance que les résidents peuvent
avoir de l’un à l’autre. C’est une manière indirecte de se rapprocher
les uns des autres, une sorte d’espace mental, un seuil intangible
permettant de choisir le type relation avec le reste des convives.
