Pear Deck is one of the many useful websites we used to help us with online learning. Pear Deck makes the slides
interactive and the teacher can add lots of fun and exciting activities into the lesson; such as drawing, colouring,
linking lines and also some mini pop quizzes.
I find Pear Deck engaging because there are things we can do in Pear Deck but not in school. The special additional
activities Ms Lau added were so much fun! I enjoyed all of Ms Lau's history lessons. One of the most memorable
moments was when Ms Lau asked us to draw Queen Boudicca, who fought against the Romans. Using a primary
source, we used a description to draw her, but most of us couldn't draw her as beautifully as we imagined. Pear Deck
can display every student's answer in a few pages in real time! So the teacher can easily scroll down to select some
students' best answers and show them to the rest of the class. We also tried out a linking game whereby we had to link
the correct questions with their answers.
I also would like to suggest adding some of Peardeck's activities to be used for our normal school lessons. During this
online school learning experience, I was so glad that Pear Deck was part of our online learning. Pear Deck encouraged
me to pay much more attention because of it's fun activities. I am glad to be back at school but sometimes I still wish
we could use Pear Deck at school too... I totally recommend Pear Deck to our school teachers and students.
