During the school suspension, my kids asked me when the coronavirus pandemic
will end. My answer was “I don’t know but I know we’re going to have a movies
night this weekend, we’re going to make some desserts together, we’re going
camping in our bedroom...… I believe what matters in this disastrous time, is that
they feel some sense of control and have something happy they are looking forward
to. Think positive.
To relieve pressure, I do exercise every morning. It’s hard to catch up with the
intensive exercise every morning at the very beginning, as I haven’t done any
exercise in my entire life. I found this routine makes me comfortable, relaxed and
recharge.
Despite all that work, I still find time to have fun with my family, like cooking with
kids, playing board games, movie nights and etc. I do treasure pillow talking with
the kids every single night, these little moments make me better understand them.
It’s so funny that once my son told me that he recommends most parents to stock
up on wine instead of toilet paper if they have children, after all, getting drunk is the
best form of relaxation. It really makes me laugh ……
I feel so blessed that my husband gives me full support, assisting me during the
pandemic. I wish other parents good health during these chaotic times and that the
world will return to normal so everybody can peacefully live on.

I think most children can learn fast and they can get used to online class in a
short time. Yet, I think the challenge is to teach them to balance the time on
the computer and other things. I think parents can help the children to set up
a timetable and prepare other learning experiences for the children so they
will not spend too much time on the computer, such as getting more books,
mini sports equipment, board games, arts and crafts at home.
