Our students and staff have needed to be resourceful in keeping themselves occupied during
extended periods indoors. Many students and staff have used this time to discover something new
through reading and watching documentaries or movies. In this edition, a few of our teachers have
shared their recommendations for good books, movies and TV shows that they enjoyed while
spending extra time at home. What an assortment of cultured individuals we have in the staff room!
The online lesson and video timetable which was implemented from February to May tested the ability
of our teachers and students to adapt to new and remote learning technologies. The 16th edition
showcases a wide range of technology tools that were integrated into online lessons and enabled
students to learn more effectively.
The school suspension created an
opportunity for teachers and students
to learn quickly together in this new
o n l i n e e n v i r o n m e n t . M y o w n
classroom, our school auditorium,
was also brought into the virtual
world, and I was delighted to read our
students' letters of reflection on
'Principal's Storytime', a few of which
are featured in this edition.
Our Graduation Trees bloom in June
Despite the adversities of a
prolonged school suspension, the
bonds that tie our school community
together were not only maintained
but reinforced with the support of a
new communication technologies.
The Lip Dub video featured in this
edition of the Newsletter neatly
summarises our approach to
change: 'We're all in this together',
and together we will adapt and
make the best we can of any
unexpected change.
