CRIME PREVENTION TIPS FROM YOUR LOCAL POLICE FORCE
GOOD NEWS
In relation to a spate of burglaries in the area,
on 10th August 2020 Daniel Freeman of HMP
Stoke Heath was sentenced at Minshull Street
Crown Court for several offences including 2
burglaries, theft of a Motor Vehicle and Fraud.
He was sentenced to 9 years in total.
VEHICLE CRIME INFORMATION
Incidents are still being reported throughout the
area where vehicles are being left insecure and
items of value left on show.
Please can we remind residents to ensure your
vehicle is locked and that items are hidden and
not left on view or remove all items from your
vehicle.
Whilst enquiries are ongoing, the GMP
Neighbourhood Team are deploying both mobile
and foot patrols when possible. If you have

KEY INFORMATION
With winter upon us once again, it is that time of
year when we need to remind residents to stay
with their vehicles whilst defrosting them.
Opportunist thieves will only take a matter of
seconds to gain entry and drive away in your
vehicle if it is left unattended with the keys in the
ignition whilst defrosting.

ADVICE:
Don’t forget to light up your house this winter
and keep burglars well and truly out in the dark
