“i grew up on a dairy farm near the cornelius Seedcorn
company between andrew, Bellevue, and Springbrook.
We put in long hours planting and harvesting our crops, growing our own food,
and raising livestock. My parents taught us many values like working hard, honesty,
integrity, responsibility, accountability, and transparency just to name a few.
These attributes have served me well in life, my law enforcement career, and
in my highly decorated and successful 32-year military career where I was direct
commissioned to an officer after being promoted up through the enlisted ranks.
After graduating Bellevue Public High School, I attended St. Ambrose University
where I was a Residential Advisor and Security Officer among other jobs. I
earned my BA in Criminal Justice, a Minor in Psychology, attained a 3.8 GPA,
was a member of several National Honor Societies, and was the President of the
Criminal Justice Association.
After college I began my career in law enforcement at the Maquoketa Police
Department. I was proud to represent my community and did my best to serve
them well. It’s been my privilege to serve in various law enforcement capacities
for the last 27 years. It would be my honor to serve you again by coming home to
be your next Jackson County Sheriff. please vote for Brent Kilburg on nov 3rd.”
