Control files
The following table provides details about the various types of control files that are
included by IBM.
Note:
1. base/cntl/tpf.cntl and base/cntl/usr.cntl are the only control files
known to the MakeTPF build solution. All other files listed are included by
these two files. These files are included with the z/TPF system to group
and categorize z/TPF programs.
2. To prevent your changes from being overwritten when you make
modifications to these control files, copy them to the
local_mod/base/cntl directory and make your changes to these copies.
For more information about the local_mod/ directory, see “Local
modifications” on page 7.

for multi-segment BSO entry points.
base/cntl/tpf_app_hpo.cntl List of all z/TPF HPO applications. Includes
any archives needed to build the
applications.
base/cntl/tpf_app_tpfdf.cntl List of all z/TPFDF applications.
base/cntl/tpf_app_tpfdf_ux.cntl List of all z/TPFDF application user exits.
base/cntl/tpf_app_tpfdf_xv.cntl List of all z/TPFDF transfer vectors and stubs
for multi-segment BSO entry points.
base/cntl/tpf_app_usr.cntl List of all customer system programs. Use to
list customer programs needed to build the
z/TPF system.
base/cntl/tpf_cimr.cntl List of all z/TPF CP, CIMR, IPL programs.
Any ARCHIVES needed to link these
programs also are included.
base/cntl/tpf_kpt.cntl List of all z/TPF keypoints.
base/cntl/tpf_ol_linux.cntl List of all z/TPF offline programs that run on
the Linux platform. Archives needed to link
the offline programs also are included.
base/cntl/tpf_ol_os390.cntl List of all z/TPF offline programs that run on
the z/OS platform.
base/cntl/tpf_stdlib.cntl List of all standard libraries and includes.
base/cntl/tpf_util_linux.cntl List of all z/TPF utility programs that run on
the Linux platform. Archives needed to link
these utilities also are included.
