WHY DID YOU WANT TO BE A HAIRDRESSER?
Initially I didn’t even think of
hairdressing – I left school and went to
do a PLC in nursing but I felt it wasn’t
for me. I took up an apprenticeship
in hairdressing not knowing a lot
about it. Within a few months I knew
it was where I wanted to be, a place of
creativity and freedom.
WHAT ARE YOUR HIGHLIGHTS SO FAR?
Winning a place on the Irish
Hairdressers Federation Star Team.
Although I was fairly inexperienced
at the time, the judges could see my
potential. It was hard work but it all
paid off when I was able to stand up
on stage with a trophy. Also getting
to the L’Oréal Colour Trophy STAR
Award final as part of a duo was a huge
achievement – and hopefully we’ll win!

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
I hope I’m recognised globally for my
work. I want people to know my name
all over the world. I hope I’ve travelled
and educated people on all things hair.
I also see myself working with top
brands and my name being a brand
itself! My Instagram will have a blue
tick and I’ll be able to make properly
produced Instagram video,
rather than just on my
phone like I do now.
WHAT IS YOUR DREAM HAIRDRESSING GIG?
To demonstrate a look that I’ve
created and have thousands of
people there to see what I’ve
created, to hear me speak. I
want to travel a lot with work,
so going to different countries
and teaching people from all
over the globe is a huge dream
of mine that hopefully will
become a reality.
