According to data from German business aviation<br />
consultancy WingX, the total number of business aviation<br />
flights departing from Asia-Pacific in 2020 was 78,518 – a<br />
21% drop from 2019. The drastic drop of business aviation flights<br />
can be attributed to the outbreak of COVID-19 early in the year.<br />
When the situation became clearer for aviation authorities in the region,<br />
we began to see flight activity return, especially in countries<br />
with large domestic markets. This was very evident in China, where<br />
domestic flight activity had reached the same levels in December as<br />
it had in December 2019.<br />

All aviation regions saw declines in flight<br />
activity, although China has recovered<br />
the quickest. Singapore suffered the<br />
steepest decline, with 1,635 departures<br />
representing a 53% year-on-year drop in<br />
flight activity.<br />
