MARKET UPDATE: GLOBAL PRE-OWNED BUSINESS JET & TURBOPROP MARKET - Q4 2020 BY AMSTAT

Transactions
2020 started well, with resale transactions in January and
February exceeding 2019 levels by 20%. The initial impact
of COVID-19 resulted in pre-owned transaction counts in
March through May falling 35% below the same period in
2019. Transaction activity picked up significantly between
June and December. November was the extreme case,
with resale transactions up 61% over November 2019.
Preliminary transaction counts for all of 2020 are already
6% ahead of 2019 and may eventually meet, or even exceed,
2018 levels. This is remarkable given the significant
decrease in transaction activity between March and May.

growth, with the Mid-Age segment showing the
most growth.

year-on-year growth in 2020 versus 2019. Turboprop preowned
transactions had met 2019 levels at writing. Total
pre-owned Turboprop transactions are likely to exceed
2019, as not all 2020 transaction data had been gathered
by the time of publication.
