the 11 th <strong>World</strong> <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Games</strong><br />

INTERKULTUR, the leading organizer of international choir competitions and festivals will finally come to the region of<br />

<strong>Flanders</strong> in Belgium. After two postponements due to the pandemic the 11 TH EDITION of<br />

the WORLD CHOIR GAMES, the Olympics of Choral Music, will take place as a hybrid event<br />

for the first time in the event’s history.<br />

Both virtually and on-site, more than 300 choirs from over<br />

50 countries and regions will participate in the event.Moreover,<br />

93 countries and regions are represented at the General Conference of<br />

the <strong>World</strong> <strong>Choir</strong> Council.<br />

THE OPEN<br />

COMPETITION<br />

names a competition which is open<br />

for every choir. In the spirit of the<br />

<strong>World</strong> <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Games</strong> “Participation is<br />

the highest honor”, it is designed for<br />

choirs of any level of proficiency and<br />

explicitly those without any or only<br />

little competition experience. The<br />

participants get to know their artistic<br />

level via the evaluation of the jury and<br />

are awarded a Golden, Silver or<br />

Bronze Diploma.<br />

THE CHAMPIONS<br />

COMPETITION<br />

is designed for experienced choirs<br />

that have already proven their level<br />

of proficiency at other international<br />

competitions. The winners will be<br />

awarded Golden, Silver and Bronze<br />

Medals and each category winner gets<br />

the title and trophy “Champion<br />

of the <strong>World</strong> <strong>Choir</strong> <strong>Games</strong><br />

<strong>2021</strong>”.<br />

THE VIRTUAL<br />

COMPETITIONS<br />

A new chapter in the event’s<br />

history will be opened at the <strong>World</strong> <strong>Choir</strong><br />

<strong>Games</strong> <strong>2021</strong>: The “Virtual Competitions”<br />

will enable all choirs worldwide also<br />

to participate in the event online and<br />

to make the dream of singing without<br />

borders come true.<br />
