Nya S-CROSS fullhybrid
Med fyrhjulsdrift, Suzukis specialitet, tar du dig enkelt

Welcome to Jönköping

into goal. In Jönköping, events are our
main focus, therefore we are very happy
and proud to welcome the orienteering
competition O-Ringen 2025 to the city.
Vista kulle.
Along the southern shore of Lake Vättern,
lays the largest city of Småland. In this area,
the city and nature are combined in a perfect
symbiosis. Wherever you are in the city,
nature is always nearby. The region is a paradise
for both nature lovers and botanists,
with nature reserves, beautiful views and
one of Sweden's largest oak forests. There are
plenty of hiking trails and charming country
roads to cycle along in Jönköping.
In Jönköping we are used to big events.
Since 2015, the tough and prestigious triathlon
Ironman 70.3 is arranged here every
summer. If you ask the younger generation
what they think of when talking about
Jönköping, the answer is often; DreamHack.
DreamHack is the world's largest digital festival
with an international multi-million audience
and a convention with about 50,000
visitors arranged at Elmia in Jönköping since
2001. For events such as rowing, cycling and
orienteering, the nature is always ready as
an arena.
A city full of life
With an international university and a bit
more than 140,000 inhabitants the city of
Jönköping is full of life. The city center consists
of cozy alleys and canals that open onto
three lakes. Restaurants, museums, skate
and bike parks are just a few blocks away
from any of the city's hotels. A dinner by the
pier to watch the sun go down among the
sailboats or perhaps an evening hanging out
in the thriving Match stick area is a perfect
way to end the day. Perhaps the biggest
advantages of Jönköping is the proximity to
nature. With its soft paths, beautiful views,
John Bauer forests, vast bogs, lakes and
mountains, this is a perfect place to experience
the Swedish nature. Welcome!
» O-RINGEN JÖNKÖPING 2025
The process of finding arenas for OL, MTBO and
PreO stages is now in full swing. The next step
is a first consultation with Jönköpings Kommun
regarding all environmental permits needed for the
various arena proposals that have emerged. We
will also have a first consultation with the Swedish
transport administration Trafikverket, public
transport and the municipality soon about logistics,
all buses, cars, et cetera. We also hope to get a
green light from landowners and hunters who will
be contacted during fall and winter to enable us to
present a concept during the next summer.
– This will make it possible for us to produce
good maps for all disciplines with time to spare,
says Göran Carnander, Chairman of the club
council, Föreningsrådet.
What we already know about O-Ringen 2025
is that we get an O-Ringenstad around the Elmia
area with its wonderful views of lake Vättern. We
will offer varied terrain with the Vätterbranterna
in the east, typical Småland morain terrain and
international terrain in the south. In addition to
this terrain box the region offers lots of tourist
destinations with food walks, cycling trails through
rolling landscapes, Äppledalen, Dumme mosse,
Husqvarna Museum and the Match Museum, baths,
shopping centres and proximity to Gränna, the
hometown of the “polkagris” candy, as well as the
island in the middle of Vättern, Visingsö.
This means that we can really look forward to a
week full of activities. Welcome to Jönköping and
