Class 5 have had a fantastic two weeks completing their Bikeability course.
They began session 1, learning cycling safety skills in the playground, before
completing the course with two road sessions and all the children who took
part, passed the course! Well done Class 5!
In Science, we have continued our learning about plant reproduction. We took
spider plant cuttings and began a ‘propagation investigation’, observing how
the roots of the cuttings developed and grew in water in just a few days. We
then repotted them into compost. We look forward to observing their growth
over the next term.
In Geography, we have been using atlases and maps to locate South America.
We have spent time learning about map keys and other features of the atlas,
including the different types of maps within it. We have also enjoyed learning
about biomes and biodiversity.
Class 5 have had a great time creating a polling programme using Micro:bits in
Computing. The children have really impressed us with their ability to recognise
coding structures and create programmes using code.
In English, Class 5 have created fantastic non-chronological reports about
South American landmarks. It has been so wonderful to see the children taking
such care in their work and producing work that they are really proud of. Well
done, Class 5.
