Broad and Balanced...
Y2
Year 2 have had another busy couple of weeks continuing their learning about
the Great Fire of London. In music, we have started to learn a song about the
events of 1666 whilst in our small world area, we have been enjoying designing
and making our own bridges to go over the River Thames. We have had a focus
on oracy too where we have had to record ourselves talking for 2 minutes
about The Great Fire of London. We had to include high level vocabulary to
score points and lost points for hesitation. It was great fun but hard to do!
In maths, we have been partitioning numbers and locating them on number
lines.
Whilst all of this has been happening, we have also enjoyed harvesting potatoes,
preparing the ground for our bulbs, taking care of the animals and making
fires.
