QHA REVIEW | 50
Sprawling two floors with 20 rotating taps pouring
fresh steam beer from copper fermenters, this place
is the stuff of dreams for lovers of equisitly crafted
brews. An iconic part of the craft beer community for
more than 25, Steamworks have a myriad of brews
to wet your whistle from traditional styles like Pilsner,
Lager and Pale Ale through to their multi awardwinning
Flagship IPA that I was hankering after - rest
assured, it sent my tastebuds on a heavenly journey
I will not forget anytime soon. Perfectly paired classic
modern day pub fare and three distinct dining areas
sees the venue cater for all tastes and all kinds of
patrons, whether it be couples, business meetings or
large groups.
Adding to the appeal is undeniably the steampunk
décor. It’s not only super cool it is fitting considering
the brewpubs origins. The original steam piping in
the building was found by accident but soon became
the inspiration for their unique proprietary steam
brewing method that has helped the company garner
numerous industry accolades.
The beer, the food, the service and the view over
Vancouver harbour... all receive a huge thumbs up
from me.
