On Motion o~ Director Koltonski, i~t .was voted that the association make<br />

a suitable gift to Mrs. Kelley ....<br />

The .Secretary repor+ted_on~ the fine, well conducted Regional <strong>Conference</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> two days.held by the NFPA .in Providence, R. I., and stated that the association<br />

was well and_~.ably represented on the program. .<br />

Chief Scanlon, Chairman..o£ Topics Committee, made a most complete report<br />

on topics and speakers fd~ the June <strong>Conference</strong>. All brought out much<br />

discuss:ion on the +various topics presented and were well received.<br />

Chief Slaman, Chairman o£ Exhibits, presented a progressive report and<br />

stated that he had already been ~contacted for space,<br />

Roi Woolley, our Technical Consultant, expressed a willingness to do<br />

all possible to a~ssist in carrying out another s,ucces~ful conference and extended<br />

thanks from th_e_ Editor <strong>of</strong> Fire Engineering for Our ’c?3ntinued interest by fur-<br />

~ishing items o£interest-~C0r-the <strong>of</strong>ficial journal, Fir~ ~Engineering. " ........<br />

Voted to adjourn at 5:30 P.M. for social hour and dinner with the ladies<br />

who had been in conference for the afternoon discussing their problems ];or<br />

the 1954 comCerend[~.~~:<br />

On the following day, December 10th, our <strong>of</strong>ficers and ladies enjoyed lunch<br />

and entertainment with the Massachusetts Fire Chiefs Club at their <strong>Annual</strong><br />

Christmas Party.<br />

Th£ second meeting <strong>of</strong> all <strong>of</strong>ficers and., ommittees was held on theabove<br />

date at the Rockingham Hotel, Portsmoulkh, o N~w Hampshire<br />

The meeting was called to order by President Fortier at 11:00 A.M., with<br />

all <strong>of</strong>ficers and committee members present including the ladies who were assigned<br />

a private room for their meeting.<br />

The records <strong>of</strong> our first meeting held at the Hotel Statler, Boston., on<br />

December 9, 1953, were-read by the secretary and were accepted.<br />

The secretary reported letters <strong>of</strong> appreciat.ion for courtesies or sympathies<br />
