ITS AIMS AND PURPOSES<br />

To advance the science <strong>of</strong> Fire Fighting.<br />

To keep the public advised <strong>of</strong> the services <strong>of</strong> the Fire Department.<br />

To encourage the public in a course <strong>of</strong> action to prevent fires.<br />

To promulgate rules and regulations and establish standards, <strong>of</strong> equipment<br />

and methods to assist in the formation <strong>of</strong> efficient fire fighting<br />

~orces.<br />

To recommend and sponsor the adoption o~ measures o{ safety either<br />

through State Legislation or local ordinances. =<br />

To accumulate and distribute facts and information pertaining to, the<br />

experience o; its members at typical fires and suggestions as to the best<br />

methods o~ coping with such situations.<br />

To aid in the formation o£ Volunteer Fire Departments and to give<br />

the Fire Chie;s <strong>of</strong> such organizations all the help possible.<br />

To adopt such resolutions, and go on public record in respect to all<br />

measures <strong>of</strong> safety which will advance the fire service.<br />

TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF ITS MEMBERS.<br />
