’CHIEI~ SCANLON: I should like to nominate Chief John Keefe for the <strong>of</strong>fice<br />

<strong>of</strong> First Vice-President, John Keefe <strong>of</strong> Bellows Falls, Vermont.<br />

This nomination was duly seconded by several <strong>of</strong> the members present.<br />

CHIEF WELLS: I move that nominations, cease, and that the Secretary<br />

cast one ballot for the election <strong>of</strong> Chief John Keefe o.f Bellows Falls, for the<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> First Vice-President <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Association</strong>.<br />

This motion was duly seconded by many <strong>of</strong> the members present, and was<br />

carried.<br />

SECRETARY O’HEARN: I have cast the ballot..<br />

PRESIDENT GRAHAM: The ballot has been cast and I declare Chief John<br />

KeeFe <strong>of</strong> Bellows Falls duly elected as First Vice-President <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Association</strong>.<br />

Doolin(g.C~hief__ John Keefe was then escorted to the rostrum by Sergeant-at-Arms<br />

CHIEF JOHN K~.EFE: I want to take this opportunity <strong>of</strong> thanking the<br />

members from all <strong>of</strong> the States in <strong>New</strong> <strong>England</strong> for this very distinguished<br />

honor oi¢ serving as Vice-President <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Association</strong>, and I want to say to you,<br />

George Graham, that I will give you my hearty support in all <strong>of</strong> your endeavors<br />

for 19 5 5. (Applause.)<br />

PRESIDENT GRAHAM: Thank you, John. The nominations are now open<br />

for the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong> Second Vice-President <strong>of</strong> this <strong>Association</strong>.<br />

CHIV, F C.LIFFORD: Mr.-President, it gives me a great deal <strong>of</strong> pleasure to<br />

nominate Chief Horace S. Jose <strong>of</strong> South Portland, Maine, for the <strong>of</strong>fice <strong>of</strong><br />

Second Vice-President.,<br />

This nomination was duly seconded by many <strong>of</strong> the members present.<br />

CHIEF ANDREWS: I move that nominations be closed, and that the Secretary<br />

cast one ballot, for the election <strong>of</strong> Chief Jose <strong>of</strong> South Portland, for the<br />

<strong>of</strong>fice o£ Second Vice-President o£ this <strong>Association</strong>.<br />

This motion, was duly seconded by many <strong>of</strong> the members present, and was<br />

carried.<br />

that I will labor with the rest <strong>of</strong> the crew to make the <strong>Association</strong> a success<br />
