Meindert trained as a pharmacist in the<br />
Netherlands and joined NICE in 2004 as a<br />
health technology analyst in London. In 2006<br />
he accepted the post <strong>of</strong> Associate Director<br />
with the responsibility <strong>of</strong> setting up the new<br />
Single Technology Appraisals programme for<br />
NICE in Manchester. Meindert previously<br />
worked as a hospital pharmacist and in roles<br />
in health outcomes and sales in the pharmaceutical<br />
industry. He completed an MSc in<br />
Health Policy Planning and Financing at the London<br />
School <strong>of</strong> Hygiene and Tropical Medicine<br />
and the London School <strong>of</strong> Economics & Political<br />
Sciences and worked briefly for the King´s<br />
Fund before starting at NICE.
