Center Backs
• Remit: Identify a predominantly left
footed (but not limited to) center back who
can play in any CB position within a back
four and who can also potentially be able to
play as a hybrid right-back in a back 3 out of
possession in Aston Villa’s current 4-4-2
system although this is very much a
secondary requirement. He preferably has
good aerial ability in both boxes.
• Parameters;
• Long-range passing ability.
• Strong aerial ability in both boxes.
• Strong ball carrying ability and who is
comfortable stepping into midfield with
the ball.
• Preferable UCL or UEL experience.
