Relax in the rustic Bistro with the original arched windows and rich woods on the ceiling and walls. The first morning, our table ordered eggs cooked any style with roasted new potatoes or white cheddar grits. A choice of local sausage, bacon or veggie sausage completed the delectable breakfast. Another morning, we tried Belgian waffles with side of fresh fruit and a vegetable filled frittata with green salad. Both were excellent and a hearty start to a day of exploring. Auburn Pediatric Dentistry SPECIALIZING IN CHILDREN AND TEENAGERS Dinner at The Bistro After a busy day, the Bistro was the perfect spot for unwinding. The restaurant serves organic, regional and seasonal ingredients in Southern inspired dishes. Their philosophy is to “Eat with Integrity- Live with Gratitude.” Our table started with a rich, creamy lobster bisque flecked with lobster chunks. The second choice was caprese salad, which was also tasty made with sliced tomatoes and fresh mozzarella drizzled with reduced balsamic vinegar. The trout cakes with remoulade sauce sounded tempting, but since one person was ordering rainbow trout for the entrée, we passed this time. Cornmeal coated trout was served with citron gravy and accompanied with brown rice and matchstick vegetables. A succulent, flavorful petite filet mignon was perfectly seared and topped with a red wine demi-glace. The entree was paired with fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. A warm peach crisp with vanilla ice cream was shared and quickly disappeared to close an enjoyable day filled with activities. PASQUALINO’S ITALIAN RESTAURANT Located across the street from the Everett Hotel, the Italian restaurant and pizzeria serves traditional dishes, with pasta handmade or imported from Italy. Gluten free penne pasta is available as well as a whole wheat linguine. A choice of salad or soup is served with entrees. Our table selected a house salad and a light chicken noodle soup accompanied with Italian rolls. For entrees, chicken marsala with mushrooms was served with steamed spinach and a hearty pasta dish with shrimp were generous servings. A crispy cannoli admirably capped dinner.
