The Otago Community Trust New Zealand Masters Games are back and they’re bigger than ever! The 35th annual Masters Games will beheld in Ōtepoti Dunedin from February 3-11, with an estimated 5,000+ people set to come together to enjoy Aotearoa's largest annual multi-sport event. There are more than 60 sports on offer during the Games, including new events such as Pickleball, Jigsaw Racing and Cowboy Action Shooting.The sports are open to people of all abilities, and some selected sports also have para categories, such as Archery, Athletics –Track and Field, Petanque, Cornhole, Darts, Power Lifting, Indoor Rowing, Swimming and Indoor Triathlon. The goal of the Games is to encourage participation insport, no matter your age or ability, says New Zealand Masters Games Manager Vicki Kestila. “You don’t need toqualify or be an elite athlete to enter. You just have tobethe right minimum age for your particular event and bekeen to have a go. Over the years I’ve done Wine Tasting, Sports Accuracy, Cornhole, Twilight 400, Social smallbore shooting, Pentanque and Bowls. EntryFee Options Entries are now open for the 2024 New Zealand Masters Games. If you enter before the end of November you’ll be eligible for the Early Bird rate of $70. From 1December to11January, the Standard Entry Fee of$100 applies and from 12 January the Final Entry fee of $130 applies. Please note: Your sport’s registration fees are not part of the entry fee and vary between events. If you'd like tobepart ofthe Games but not compete, you have the option to enter as a Supporter. For $45 you receive all the entry fee inclusions of a competitor, with the exception of being able to compete or win medals.
