Spring has hit us in a rush, and there’s so
many things to be getting stuck into in our
outdoor spaces. If you’ve been caught on
the back foot, here’s some of the ways that
the friendly local team at The Outdoor
Space can help.
Spring is a great time to get new lawns
sorted – the grass will establish itself
well before the hotter weather. We can
handle this for you, with quick-growing
options such as hydroseed and readylawn.
Artificial grass is also the perfect solution
for many, as it reduces allergy triggers and
is so low maintenance.
Pick the brains of our expert staff about
new plantings. Many clients appreciate
our hands-on and collaborative approach
– we discuss options with you and then
bring the plants to site and place them
out so that you can see exactly what is
proposed. Once you’re happy, we’ll do the
planting. All our plants are sourced from
local nurseries and we have even started
growing a few ourselves.
It’s also time to get your veggies, herb
and berry gardens up and running. We can
build raised gardens – either from kitset,
or bespoke and built onsite – fill them
with soil and compost and plant out the
plants. As well as being highly practical,
raised gardens add a distinctive aesthetic
to your space. We supply stunning options
made from macrocarpa, treated pine or
corrugated iron, in a range of colours.
If you’ve done all the above – well
done! – and you’ll be wanting to ensure
their effective watering and maintenance.
Installing unobtrusive irrigation is one
of our specialisms. We supply and install
manual, fully automatic, and even wifi
systems. And if you don’t have time to
maintain the results of all these labours, we
can maintain your new or existing garden,
whether as a one-off before a special
event, or weekly, fortnightly or monthly as
required. These services include weeding,
spraying, pruning, mowing and fertilising,
and are much appreciated in this timeprecious
age.
We’ve got you covered for all aspects of
hard landscaping too – paving, concrete,
fences, pergolas, decks, water features,
outdoor fires and pizza ovens, brick and
blockwork, built-in seating, outdoor
