Residence, Helensville, NewZealandThis owner-built house of 180 m 2 arearequired 9 years of work. The structure wasbuilt of recycled timber, the adobes formedby hand from local soil. The floors are ofearth slate or recycled timber. The glassfacade enables passive solar heating.A wood fire is installed for cooking, hotwater and additional heating.The property features many permacultureaspects.
