Progress reviews
Reviews will take place
at least every 12 weeks.
You’ll have the opportunity
to discuss your progress
and any concerns, gain
feedback and agree long
and short-term targets
for the completion of your
qualification. It’s also an
opportunity to talk through
how you’re progressing
towards your career plans
and goals.
You’ll discuss how you’ll
link your training to your
job role. This will be done
with you, a member of our
team and your workplace
mentor.
Gateway
The term gateway is
when you have passed
all qualifications included
in your apprenticeship
and you, your employer
and the college decides
you’re ready for the endpoint
assessment. They’ll
consult with your trainer/
assessor and, when they
feel you’re competent
and have completed your
mandatory qualifications,
they’ll ‘open the gate’
to your end-point
assessment.
Some apprenticeship
standards have multiple
gateways throughout the
apprenticeship. You must
pass each gateway to
move to the next stage.
End-point assessment (EPA)
This is your final
assessment to ensure
that you can do the job
you’ve been training
for. It’s carried out by an
external independent
end-point assessment
organisation.
Completion, certification
and progression
You have passed your
end-point assessment and
will receive your end-point
assessment certificate
including your grade. You’ll
also receive certificates
for any other qualifications
you have achieved.
You’ll complete an exit
interview with your trainer/
assessor who will provide
you with information,
advice and guidance
around your next steps.
Employment edge
We'll give you the employment edge by equipping you
with the knowledge, behaviours and skills you need to
be successful in your chosen career.
To achieve this we'll work with you and your
employer to ensure you receive impartial, quality
career guidance throughout the duration of your
apprenticeship.
