End-point assessment (EPA)
End-point assessment (EPA) is the
final external assessment which tests
the knowledge, skills and behaviours
you’ve gained during your training.
Unique to each standard, EPA
demonstrates your competency in
your role. This competence is valued
by current and future employers.
Throughout your apprenticeship
we’ll help to prepare you for your
end-point assessment through
coaching, practice activities and
mock tests. The outcome of your
end-point assessment will be
graded as either Pass, Merit or
Distinction (this may vary depending
on the apprenticeship standard).
This grade will appear on your
final apprenticeship certificate.
