News from our Ontario Seniors Games Association - District 26
The Ontario Seniors Games Association (OSGA), District 26
competition was held at the KW Badminton Club in Kitchener on
October 21, 2023, and yielded some very positive results for our
GWSA players.
For those of you not familiar with what this is, the Ontario Seniors
Games Association is an organization to further promote events for
active seniors in our province and works in parallel to our GWSA. It is
broken down into 33 districts and we reside in District 26. For more

Every alternate year, our members, in Cribbage, Pickleball, Table
Tennis, Badminton, Shuffleboard, etc., can participate in their event to
hopefully qualify for the OSGA Provincial Games and possibly the
Canadian Seniors Games.
In addition to just being a fun and socially connecting event, it is great
to watch, and even more fun to actually play in.
The GWSA Badminton Club placed in 6 events, winning as follows:
Gold +55 Mixed Doubles - Ha Pham and Charles Tse (former
GWSA member)
Gold +65 Mixed Doubles – Brigitte Geisler and Randy Taylor
Silver +65 Mixed Doubles – Elise Stanley and Allan Green
Gold +65 Ladies Doubles – Debbie Waitson and Brigitte Geisler
Gold +65 Men’s Doubles – Randy Taylor and George Spence
Silver +65 Men’s Doubles – Paul Wilmer and Dominic Muto
Bronze +65 Men’s Doubles – Olev Sadam and Eric Goldberg
Congratulations to all the participants and to the efforts made by our
District 26 OSGA Leadership Team.
