Thirteen spacious rooms are spread over three
levels and range from standard to master suite.
The walls have a finish called chukum, a natural
material which is obtained from the resin that
contains the bark of the Havardia Albicans tree,
it is mainly found in the area of the Yucatan
Peninsula. The Maya used it formerly to produce
stucco and as a coating water tanks to prevent it
from filtering water.
Enjoy a pleasant view of the garden while in
the pool or the cool spaces of the restaurant
and lounge bar. Breakfast is fresh, healthy and
hacienda-like parlor with museum quality pieces
of art and furniture makes a perfect setting for an

niveles y van desde estándar hasta master suite. Los
muros tienen un acabado llamado chukum, un material
natural que se obtiene de la resina que contiene la
corteza del árbol Havardia Albicans, se encuentra
principalmente en la zona de la Península de Yucatán.
Los mayas lo usaban antiguamente para producir
estuco y como revestimiento de tanques de agua para
evitar que filtrara el agua.

Ma’xanab is committed to Tulum, which is why
the hotel is built on stilts in order to respect and
preserve the environment. It has its own water
treatment plant and was constructed with local
materials and finished with chukum resin.
Ma’xananb has 16 spacious rooms, of which 12 are
suites with walk in closets, private pools, and three
showers - two interior and one exterior.

Immersed in the Mayan jungle they are the
remains of the past, with its plantations,
henequen manufacturing and trade reduced to
arches and walls, leaving room for imagination.
The restoration of these properties was carried
out by 5 renowned architects from the Yucatan
Peninsula, who took care of every detail with
the intention of maintaining the unique essence
that characterizes each hacienda.

comercios reducidos a arcos y muros, dejando
espacio a la imaginación.
La restauración de estas propiedades estuvo a
cargo de 5 reconocidos arquitectos de la

detalle con la intención de mantener la esencia
