Tamal de Plátano Macho<br />
These tamales are prepared from ripe plantain<br />
baked and mashed, sometimes filled with fresh<br />
Xpelon beans, and served with cream, topped<br />
with aged and slightly soft salty Cotija cheese.<br />
Could be a dessert, a meal or a side dish, they<br />
are steamed wrapped in a banana leaf.<br />
Estos tamales de puré de plátano macho maduro<br />
horneado, a veces rellenos con frijol fresco Xpelon,<br />
y se sirven con crema y queso Cotija añejo. Podría<br />
ser un postre, una comida o un plato de<br />
acompañamiento, se preparan al vapor envueltos<br />
en hoja de plátano.<br />
