Re<strong>in</strong>forc<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> fair’s longstand<strong>in</strong>g commitment<br />
to education, professional development<br />
and thought-leadership will be <strong>the</strong><br />
largest-ever programme of talks, workshops<br />
and events, tak<strong>in</strong>g place across all five days<br />
of <strong>the</strong> fair.<br />
The A.R.M. Hold<strong>in</strong>g Children’s Programme<br />
is now <strong>in</strong> its fourth year and <strong>the</strong> <strong>2024</strong> edition<br />
will be <strong>the</strong> largest to date, reach<strong>in</strong>g more<br />
than 15,000 students <strong>in</strong> over 100 schools <strong>in</strong><br />
what is <strong>the</strong> most ambitious such education<br />
programme <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> UAE. Each year, an artist<br />
is selected to develop <strong>the</strong> workshops, which<br />
beg<strong>in</strong> at Art Dubai before expand<strong>in</strong>g to private,<br />
government, and special educational<br />
needs schools across all seven Emirates.<br />
Goa-based artist Sahil Naik has been selected<br />
to develop <strong>the</strong> <strong>2024</strong> programme and<br />
his sculptural, architectural and arts education-based<br />
practice will take participants<br />
on a journey through creation us<strong>in</strong>g dioramas,<br />
memory and <strong>the</strong> built environment as<br />
sources of <strong>in</strong>spiration. Centr<strong>in</strong>g on <strong>the</strong>mes of<br />
ecology and nature, <strong>the</strong>se workshops will <strong>in</strong>vite<br />
children to explore <strong>the</strong> central question:<br />
“How do younger generations imag<strong>in</strong>e future<br />
cities, and what <strong>the</strong>y will comprise?”<br />
Aimed at nurtur<strong>in</strong>g emerg<strong>in</strong>g talent and<br />
future cultural leaders, <strong>the</strong> fair will cont<strong>in</strong>ue<br />
to run Campus Art Dubai (CAD) professional<br />
development and tra<strong>in</strong>eeship programme.<br />
Celebrat<strong>in</strong>g its 11th year, <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>itiative is<br />
designed to provide recent graduates with<br />
mentorship, masterclasses and hands-on<br />
experience across diverse departments at<br />
<strong>the</strong> fair. Additionally, participants will benefit<br />
from curated tours of lead<strong>in</strong>g cultural organisations<br />
<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> city, provid<strong>in</strong>g practical <strong>in</strong>sights<br />
and a clear pathway for <strong>the</strong>m to enter<br />
and thrive with<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> dynamic art scene.<br />
