NaSA VISIT
NZARBP Area Reps Rachelle Sowman
and Larissa Whitman visited The National
School of Aesthetics (NaSA) where they
discussed the benefits of Association
membership, Safe Hands campaign and
the Student of the Year Award category.
Based in Christchurch, NASA is the South
Island’s leading beauty therapy education
provider.
The 2024 February intake of students
were highly engaged and the visit
resulted in a full uptake of student
memberships.
“We discussed the importance of
professionalism within the beauty
industry and how being a member of the
NZARBP supports industry in this way,”
says Larissa. “We also discussed the
benefits of being a member, not only as
a student but as a qualified therapist or
business owner.
“It was agreed the information in the
quarterly BeautyNZ magazine is a
valuable resource of information around
products, new innovations, business
practice and so much more.
“We also talked about the Student of the
Year category.”

inspired them to enrol at The National
School of Aesthetics. Below are a few of

“I love makeup and nails. I have an
Instagram page where I share my work.”
“My Mum completed the Beauty Therapy
course the second year National School
of Aesthetics opened, therefore I grew
up watching her in her beauty therapy
profession.”
“I love doing treatments for people and
find it really therapeutic, so decided
to become qualified and make this my
career.”
“I love making people look and feel
better about themselves and feel more
confident.”

Save the date for the upcoming NZARBP St John training day,
to be held in August 2024.
This one day course is ideal for first aiders in workplaces and
anyone wanting to learn the basics of first aid.
During the course, in-depth lessons and scenario-based
activities will give:
• the confidence to recognise and treat everything from
common injuries to life-threatening medical emergencies
• the skills to offer vital assistance and CPR before more
experienced help arrives
• the starting point for advancing your first aid training to the
next level
• a First Aid Level 1 certificate valid for 2 years upon successful
completion
