The power of movement and music
Therapists will know that performing
a treatment is much like a dance. A
sequence of routine movements in
a certain order, that is carried out
through the body can be elevated even
more with a rhythmic soundtrack.
Myndstream doesn’t just stop at
spas, we work with product houses to
create music that will soundtrack their
treatments – a bit like creating a dance
routine to a certain song. Collaboratively
working together to discuss speed,
direction, or incorporate any cultural
influences too, means we create a truly
immersive experience that goes beyond

What trends emerged in 2023?
Touchless Technology and Multisensory
Experiences. With up to a quarter of
spa treatment rooms not in use for
a number of reasons including lack
of availability from therapists, we
saw two influential trends emerge
in 2023 – Touchless Technology and
Multisensory Experiences. Touchless
spa treatments such as Salt Chambers
and Vibroacoustic massage beds, have
been used to utilise these previously
overlooked spaces. By pairing these
experiences with music and scent, spas
have been able to create a sensory
immersion that relaxes both body and
mind. These add on experiences have
not only enhanced the overall spa
experience but have also provided an
additional revenue stream for the spa.
What’s on the radar for 2024?
Two exciting trends are poised to
revolutionise the world of wellness
music:
Authentic Audio Experiences: Spa music
is no longer just about background
ambiance; it's about crafting authentic
audio experiences that connect with the
essence of the spa and its surroundings
and deliver health and wellbeing
outcomes. This year we'll see a growing
emphasis on incorporating the sounds
of nature, local culture, and the spa's
unique ambiance into the music design
to enhance the spa's overall brand
identity and client experience.
AI-Powered Music Experiences: The
world of artificial intelligence (AI) is
transforming the music industry, and
its impact on wellness music is just
beginning to emerge. Expect to see the
issue of copyright be resolved so that AIpowered
tools that enable personalised
and adaptive music experiences can
come to the fore.
AI-powered music solutions have the
potential to revolutionise the way
we experience music in spa settings,
offering tailored and personalised
experiences that enhance the overall
wellness journey.
